Sometimes i feel trappd in a world only i am previed 2..Mafukkas be thinkin im crazy and shit while bammas sittin round thinkin bout dances 2 put in they songs.Go figure..but fortunately 4 me my grandmother told me a week b4 she died.."Fuck em.U can only be u."..RIP baby..its been a year now and im still where u left me..missin u..So Currently im on a wild goose chase 4 that thing that Obama talked so profoundly about..change.They sayin ATL spose 2 be like the land of the free or some sit.More like Harlem in the 20s,30s and 40s.I just lost a child. The BM going crazy. My man Cash just had a baby.My man treezy B. knockin that school shit heavy..Most of the old niggas fell off from me and everybody doing their own thing.B4 the world made movies it made music. This was the source of our inspiration and the cornerstone of our lives.Somewhere along the line the motion pictures took over and with the addition of sound and graphics not 2 mention special effects, the music became lost.It started 2 reflect the lifestlye created by Hollywood. The land of dreams..4 whites only..Even the niggas aspired be in Hollywood.Chasing the dream..and a chance 2 be whoever they wished..Fast Foward 2 present day. With money flowing thru the urban entertainment market like sugar water in the ghetto every body is runnin 2 a new land of dreams..Atlanta..so yeah i guess thats where i should go.Stake my claim in history like Ellington or Hughes.Maybe even X in Boston or King in the whole south.Excuse me 4 having a classic mind.Im in NC right now.Stuck @ the crossroads.Go home or get on.

Who is D.FloYd

Rapper/Actor/Writer/Producer D.Floyd is new to some but an old face and name to many as one of the most sought after talents on the Washington Metropolitan region. Spending the last 6 years building an impressive resume of writing credits and stage performances, he became a dominating force in the area's budding music scene associating and performing along side some of music's most elite artist. His raw emotion and often uncensored tongue gave way to his introduction as social commentator, counselor and comrade to the thousands he touched on a weekly basis as promoter and co-host of the most prestigious club in the country, Love Nightclub and live appearances on local radio and web blogs. This young veteran offers much more the eye can see and it's only the beginning. Floyd got his first break in the summer of 2000 getting accepted in the legendary Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts. It was here that he say's his life was changed. Son to Go-Go legend Donnell Floyd, he began to study acting and writing from the countries finest and brightest but midway lost focus. Caught up in the bragging rights and independence garnered by being acquainted with fast money and brash behavior he began down the road many urban youths travel. It was in this period of juvenile delinquency he developed his own style of writing and expression. Everything from screenplays to raps became his outlet to display his outlook. Whether wrong or right his opinion would be heard. Known mostly for his famous last name early on the goal was set to break free of those trappings he so willingly fell into in his early childhood. In 2004 he independently recorded and released his first solo effort," The Dream." Selling over 500 copies he began to make a name with performances at local concerts and high school showcases and in 2006 while enrolled in Flatwoods boot camp/job corps he caught the ear of several Atlanta producers and radio heads who began to spin records he recorded secretly while there. This led to several writing opportunities for major label artist but as in most cases the results or the benefits of labor never surfaced. Fast Forward to fall 2007.With the regional success of local rappers Wale and Tabi Bonney, and singers J.Holiday and Raheem Devaughn, Floyd set out to find again success on his own terms. Recruiting the help and aide of local phenom producers, "Best Kept Secret" he delivered the radio record breaking single," I Want Money" ( a reply to the nationally acclaimed 50 cent record, I Get Money)He then followed up with the critically acclaimed, "Almost Famous EP" pulling in over 2000 downloads in less the 1 month. "Where is D.Floyd ?" they ask. Well with spins in some of the top clubs on the east coast and guest appearances and performances lined up. The reply is simple. Here.
